Parents and Families

We know college can be challenging for parents and families as they look to support their students. Purdue University has many resources and support services to assist students as they navigate their college experience. Student Support Services can help your student identify resources that may meet their support their personal, academic, or financial needs. We facilitate the University's excused class absence notifications, current term withdrawal process, and emergency loans. Additionally, when someone within or outside of the Purdue community has a concern for a student, completing a Student of Concern Report allows staff within the Office of the Dean of Students to provide outreach and assistance to the student.

Parent and Family Connections, a division of the Office of the Dean of Students, serves as a liaison office for Purdue families. Parent & Family Connections can be contacted at parents@purdue.edu or by calling the HelpLine at 765-496-0524.
