Thumbs Up

Sherry Swank

Sherry Swank (Auxiliary Services): I had course materials that needed to be printed very quickly. I was very concerned about font size, layout and getting the print job done in time for my students. Sherry Swank did a phenomenal job. She responded to my emails with detailed answers. She provided a proof so that I could know how the final copies would look. She printed them much more quickly than I thought possible and assisted me in getting them into the hands of my students. She does an excellent job with kindness and help. A huge thank-you to Sherry! – Elizabeth Mercier (School of Languages and Cultures)

Jeanette Greener

Jeanette Greener (Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation): I wanted to express my gratitude for all the hard work that Jeanette puts into our department’s efforts to help us succeed as a team. Her positivity and willingness to lead with compassion are appreciated more than words can express. Thank you for all that you do! – Terra Kline (Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation)

Heather Fell

Heather Fell (College of Pharmacy): I want to send a big thank-you to Heather Fell, College of Pharmacy, who helped me send a series of admitted student mailings this spring semester. She is always willing to help and goes the extra mile to ensure the project is completed on time and correctly. I am happy to have her in my corner! – Sayde Uerkwitz (College of Pharmacy)

Michelle Roe

Michelle Roe (College of Engineering): The Bechtel Center on campus employs a large number of undergraduates, and Michelle Roe does an amazing job of keeping up with the constant stream of issues, hiring, and departing students that enables the center to be staffed. – Matthew Swabey (Bechtel Innovation Design Center)

Yu Wang

Yu Wang (Civil Engineering): The Disability Resource Center’s alternative formats team would like to thank Yu for getting a final exam to us in time to transcribe it to braille and produce tactile illustrations that ensured access and enabled the blind student to take their exam as scheduled. – Susan Lausier (Disability Resource Center)

Matt McClain, Sandy Arnold-Lucas, Elaine Bough, Leif Bruce, Angela Freyer, Sarah Gardner, Isaac Horan, Tom McIntyre, Robert Tilley, Holly Webb and Craig Winningham

Matt McClain, Sandy Arnold-Lucas, Elaine Bough, Leif Bruce, Angela Freyer, Sarah Gardner, Isaac Horan, Tom McIntyre, Robert Tilley, Holly Webb and Craig Winningham (all Building Services): Thanks for keeping ME, BHEE, MSEE and RAIL clean environments for students, staff and visitors this school year. – Steve Raley (Building Services)

Jen Wetli

Jen Wetli (Parent and Family Connections): Jen is an excellent colleague and partner. As evidence of that, during finals week, the Disability Resource Center seeks volunteers from across Student Success Programs (SSP) to help administer around 2,000 individual exams. Despite the fact that Jen is not a part of SSP, I always seem to run into her helping out. I appreciate Jen! – Dan Carpenter (Student Success Programs)

Summer Sullivan and Daniela Green

Summer Sullivan and Daniela Green (Engineering Computer Network): Thank you, Summer and Dani, for your help with all the orders we have been placing! Even when things get crazy, you both always have smiles on your faces! – Nate Lawrie (Engineering Computer Network)

Barb LaDage

Barb LaDage (Office the Registrar): A “Thumbs Up” doesn't quite seem enough, but I wanted to publicly recognize Barb's professionalism and commitment to our university and students. With multiple staff missing from commencement, she rose to the challenge and delivered. She took feedback, made decisions, delegated, problem solved and anything else that popped up over nine divisions to help ensure a successful weekend for our graduates. Thank you, Barb. I've very proud of you. -- Lesa Beals (Office the Registrar)

Bryce Kuhn, Jenna Harlow and Megan Porter

Bryce Kuhn, Jenna Harlow and Megan Porter: These commencement interns more than showed up for Purdue's largest commencement ever. They worked tirelessly (which I miss being able to do!) and thoroughly trained new staff with grace and patience. They took direction and ran with it, and they received feedback on the spot and made adjustments. They problem solved without having to slow down senior staff to ask questions, and they started even before commencement weekend arrived. I could not be prouder of these interns. -- Lesa Beals (Office the Registrar)

Office the Registrar staff, Facilities, PUPD, Emergency Preparedness, EMAR, Admissions, Graduate School Records, Advising staff, Dean of Students and Hall of Music staff

Office the Registrar staff, Facilities, PUPD, Emergency Preparedness, EMAR, Admissions, Graduate School Records, Advising staff, Dean of Students and Hall of Music staff: I'm not naming names because I'm sure I will forget someone, but please know I am humbled by the effort, commitment, excellence and teamwork demonstrated by this group of individuals to ensure commencement weekend is a success. Thank you isn't enough, but thank you! -- Lesa Beals (Office the Registrar)
