Thumbs Up

David Blon

David Blon (Bands & Orchestras): David has gone above and beyond (many times over) as we have launched into this semester. From taking on many additional responsibilities to working on inventory upkeep, David has been a huge blessing to everything we do in Bands & Orchestras. The fact that he is a fantastic conductor and master musician is the icing on the cake. Thank you, David! – Matt Conaway (Bands & Orchestras)

Shu Huo

Shu Huo (College of Education Administration): Much appreciation to Shu Huo for her efficiency and integrity! She is an essential asset to me in collecting much-needed data in a timely manner. She also displays professionalism and courtesy to the entire College of Education advising team. – Jacquelyn Thomas-Miller (College of Education Administration)

Shannon Williams

Shannon Williams (Comptroller), Bart Bishop and Matt Clayton (both IT Customer Relations and Process Management): New laptops from Dell took several months to arrive. Shannon, Bart and Matt had 10 spots per day on campus, training to help staff members get their equipment ready for each individual’s needs to do their jobs. Good job to Shannon for keeping up with communications, providing resources and quickly helping solve issues. Getting equipment to their remote locations has helped eight of the 15 staff in the EOBOC Procurement Center. We appreciate all your efforts during these changes to move us forward in technology! – JoAnna Johnson (Business Office – Office of the Chief Financial Officer and Office of Public Affairs)

Susan McCreery

Susan McCreery (Bindley Bioscience Center): Susan is a great colleague whose dedication and hard work is truly inspiring to others. She is always available to help others and contributes every day to make Bindley Bioscience Center a better place to work. She goes above and beyond to help other colleagues when needed, even after hours or during the weekend. When one of us is under pressure or having problems, Susan always steps in to help, regardless of her workload. Thank you, Susan, for your tremendous support. A big thank you from the bottom of our hearts. – Uma Aryal (Comparative Pathobiology)

Mark Evans

Mark Evans (Field Extension Educators): Mark Evans exceeded expectations in customer service by helping a 4-H family submitting their senior 4-H scholarship. With the family experiencing challenges, Mark individually explained the process, provided technical assistance until late in the evening and followed up with state 4-H staff members to ensure the technical challenges would not affect the 4-H’er’s ability to earn one of the scholarships available. – Craig Newby (Curriculum and Instruction)

Tyler Dalton

Tyler Dalton (Grounds): Tyler is doing a great job keeping the grounds cleaned up and looking good here at Hawkins Hall. – Cheryl Dotson (Building Services)

Daniel Fan

Daniel Fan (Bindley Bioscience Center): Continuous help with computer issues! Thank you so much! – Viktoria Krasnyanskaya (Bindley Bioscience Center)

Tina Rice, Alan Holtman and Yvette Rosas

Tina Rice, Alan Holtman and Yvette Rosas (all Civil Engineering): I would like to thank Tina, Alan and Yvette for taking the time to help correct an account number for a departmental purchase. They took my spur-of-the-moment phone call and then also took the time to help fix the issue. (Materials Management Distribution)

Meg Uselton

Meg Uselton (College of Agriculture Business Office): Huge kudos to Meg on her promotion to the Business Office. The last 3.5 years at the Ed Store have been incredible. She’s made a positive impact on the successes with fee-based activities. Meg will be missed, but we're excited to work alongside her in the future. Thank you for all of the hard work and attention to detail. – Erin Watson (Education Store)

Glen Hitze

Glen Hitze (IT Infrastructure Services): We were having a problem where someone’s office phone was not forwarding to their cell phone. Glen dropped what he was in the middle of, investigated the problem, fixed the problem and not only informed me of the solution but also took the time to reach out to the user to make sure they understood the process. Thanks for going above and beyond, Glen. – Doug Schultz (Engineering Computer Network)

Marissa Tremblay

Marissa Tremblay (Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences): Marissa Tremblay has been very collaborative with DRC staff to help students succeed in her classes. – Disability Resource Center

Eric Butt and David Petros

Eric Butt and David Petros (both Radiological and Environmental Management): A big thanks to Eric Butt and David Petros for helping us in Mechanical Engineering with an event that we had several safety compliance setup questions about. Eric sent David to help make certain all the event safety measures were met and that the event was able to start on time and be a big success. They are always there to help with any building safety needs. Our faculty, staff and students appreciate the work they do to keep everyone in ME safe. – Pam Graf (Mechanical Engineering)
