Submissions needed for PSUB Christmas tree at the Union

Donation submissions are now being accepted for the Purdue Memorial Union's annual Christmas tree.

The Purdue Student Union Board is looking for a large spruce tree to become one of the state's largest indoor Christmas trees. The deadline for submissions is Oct. 20.

The tree should be between 24 and 30 feet tall and 14 to 15 feet wide. It must be located in the Lafayette or West Lafayette city limits and away from power lines. Only varieties of spruces will be considered.

PSUB will review all submissions before choosing a favorite tree to stand in the Great Hall at Purdue Memorial Union. PSUB will pay for tree removal, cleaning, trimming and delivery to the Union's Great Hall, where it will be decorated and on display for two weeks (display time depends on the tree's passing daily testing for fire safety).

To submit a tree suggestion, contact PSUB at psubtrad@purdue.edu or 765-494-8976.
