Online professional development conference open to Purdue faculty, staff
Purdue faculty and staff are invited to participate in 10th annual KU Village, an online professional development conference organized by Kaplan University, being held Oct. 2-6.
The conference will feature more than 50 sessions. Presentations tracks are:
* Leadership and organization.
* Classroom foundations.
* Student focus.
* NexGen learning.
* Scholarship.
Some presenters are from Purdue:
* Anthony Newman, business development advisor, presenting on Studio by Purdue, a suite of apps that boost student success.
* David Nelson, associate director at the Center for Instructional Excellence, and Frank Dooley, senior vice provost for teaching and learning, talking about Purdue IMPACT. This program helps faculty create a student-centered learning environment by incorporating active and collaborative learning as well as other student-centered teaching and learning practices and technologies into large enrollment foundational courses.
Note: Each KU Village session is held in Adobe Connect. Attendees will need to install the latest Adobe Connect add-In before the conference begins.
