Purdue Women's Club to welcome 2015 Indiana Teacher of the Year at Spring Luncheon

The Purdue Women's Club will host Kathy Nimmer at its annual Spring Luncheon on April 6, where she will share some of her most unforgettable lessons about resilience of the human spirit from her years as a child losing her vision, a blind teacher in a public school classroom, the 2015 Indiana Teacher of the Year, and a mentor to young teachers and people with disabilities.

The Spring Luncheon will begin at noon in the Purdue Memorial Union’s North Ballroom. The program will conclude around 2 p.m. PWC, a social and philanthropic organization with more than 550 members, has over 40 interest groups with focuses on friendship, sharing and learning. Programming includes everything from cooking to gaming to hiking. The club also actively supports the Span Plan for nontraditional students at Purdue.

The cost for the luncheon is $20. Registration forms and online registration can be found at www.purduewomensclub.org/luncheons. Mailed registrations must be postmarked by Saturday (March 25), and payment will be accepted online until March 29. Individuals do not need to be a member to attend; guests are welcome. Annual membership for PWC is $25 for new members.
