Search committee formed to find new vice provost for enrollment management

Deba Dutta, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs and diversity, has announced the start of a national search for the next vice provost for enrollment management.

"This position will need someone who will work in close partnership with our colleges and schools to meet the strategic goals of the institution," Dutta says. "Collaboration is vital to this role, and the new vice provost will have to build on the solid foundation that Pam Horne has created."

Horne announced her retirement from the position of vice provost for enrollment management effective June 30, 2017, after leading the office since August 2006.

Frank Dooley, vice provost for teaching and learning, will chair the search advisory committee listed below. Dooley will provide details on the process and communication protocols.

Members of the search advisory committee:

* Frank Dooley, vice provost for teaching and learning (chair).

* Michael Brzezinski, dean of international programs.

* Michael Harris, associate dean of engineering for engagement and undergraduate education, Robert B. and Virginia V. Covalt Professor of Chemical Engineering.

* Edward Howat, senior associate athletics director – student services.

* David Hummels, dean of the Krannert School of Management.

* Beth McCuskey, vice provost for student life.

* Rhonda Phillips, dean of the Honors College.

* Mitch Warren, director of admissions.

The search advisory committee will be assisted by Martha H. Smiles, vice president, Williams & Company.
