Family-friendly workshop to provide tips for aging well
Purdue Human Resources will host a family-friendly workshop on protecting overall health as one ages from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 4 in Stewart Center, Room 311.
The "Living and Aging Well" workshop will help attendees learn steps to improve aging wellness, including information on nutrition for longevity, physical activity, preventive screenings, safety practices and more. Robert Browning once said, "Grow old with me. The best is yet to be." With a positive outlook and taking steps to protect one's overall health, getting older doesn't have to mean more aches and pains. This workshop will be presented by Debra-Crume Nagel from the Center for Healthy Living.
Registration is available online and is due Oct. 3. Limited seats are available; however, as a response to feedback, Human Resources is pleased to make this and future presentations available in WebEx. Those attending via WebEx should enter "familyfriendly" if prompted for a password when joining the meeting.
The family workshops are open to faculty, staff, students and spouses/same-sex domestic partners. Those attending are encouraged to bring lunch to eat while listening to the presentation. Time for asking questions and networking with other parents and caregivers will be offered.
