Benefits and Services

• Generous paid military leave policies: Purdue grants up to 15 workdays of paid leave in a calendar year to allow employees to fulfill their responsibility when ordered to report for military duty. The University also grants unpaid leave for military duty beyond 15 workdays within a calendar year. Additional perks for Purdue employees include vacation time and holidays, sick leave and paid parental leave.

• Military and Family Research Institute (MFRI): The institute’s mission is to motivate higher education administrators to improve policies and programs that serve student service members, veterans and their families. MFRI is an excellent resource for service members and their families. See the MFRI website. Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities: This initiative was designed to offer world-class training in entrepreneurship and small business management to post-9/11 veterans who were disabled as a result of their military service, and also to those men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. The program consists of a 45-day online phase followed by a nine-day residency phase and is run by Krannert School of Management.
