DSD 101: Introduction to DSD's 3 Functions

The IDOA is hosting an introduction workshop for its Division of Supplier Diversity.

The engaging in-person workshop will introduce the division's team and feature the following:
  • Outreach Initiatives
  • Upcoming events and opportunities
  • How to certify your business
  • Benefits of MBE/WBE/IVOSB Certification with the State
  • Contracting Process
  • Navigating the Pay Audit System

The event is scheduled for March 20 from 1-3 p.m.

Indiana Black Expo's Black Business Training Institute 

In partnership with KeyBank and the Indiana Small Business Development Center, Indiana Black Expo has created the Black Business Training Institute.

They offer a robust 12-week business management program free of charge to those who are accepted. BBTI training sessions focus on practical business skills that can immediately be applied by small business owners. 

A $5,000 award will be provided to the top business owner/business in each cohort that excels in the program.  Businesses will also be eligible for growth grants after completing the program. In partnership with the Central Indiana Small Business Development Center, each participant will receive technical support and business advice throughout the program.

Free Program from Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council

Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council offers a free program for diverse companies. This 12-month program is designed to assist diverse business owners and individuals interested in starting a business. More information is available here.
