Purdue University is committed to developing a world class supplier diversity program that reflects the diversity of our students, staff, professors and multicultural communities. We recognize the importance of diverse suppliers and are committed to ensuring that diversity is an integral part of our sourcing and procurement processes.
Purdue’s competitive solicitation process is designed to provide contracts at the best value for the university, and diverse suppliers are incorporated into the quoting and solicitation process as a standardized procedure. The university is also maximizing diversity spend with its prime contractors through diversity subcontracting opportunities.
To ensure businesses of all demographics are afforded the opportunity to compete for university contracts, minority-, women- or veteran-owned suppliers are included in solicitations over $1,000 for goods and services.
All suppliers who want to do business with Purdue University must:
- Be registered with the Secretary of State.
- All diverse businesses are encouraged to be certified by the Indiana Department of Administration. IDOA: Division of Supplier Diversity: Indiana Firms: Certification Steps
- Out of state businesses are encourage to seek reciprocal certification status.
- Not be suspended from doing business with Purdue, the state of Indiana and/or the federal government.

Contractors
Contractors must be pre-qualified through the state of Indiana for capital projects. Contractors who are not already pre-qualified should follow the process outlined by the Indiana Department of Administration for future consideration.

Food and beverage suppliers must register for solicitations at hfs-FSBuyers@groups.purdue.edu.
