MS business and industrial administration in '72
Born: 1948
Mission: Blue Origin NS-20, 28

Marc Hagle and his wife, Sharon, are the first married couple to travel to space aboard a commercial spaceflight, having done so during Blue Origin’s NS-20 mission March 31, 2022. Two years later, the Hagles became the first married couple to fly to space twice during Blue Origin’s NS-28 suborbital flight Nov. 22, 2024.

During the NS-28 flight, Marc participated in research for BioButton, a biomedical research initiative by Baylor College of Medicine and the Translational Research Institute for Space Health. His participation in this research made him the first Boilermaker alum eligible for the Cradle of Astronauts under the new category of Private Specialist Astronaut, announced in the summer of 2025

The Hagles provided the lead donation for the construction of Marc and Sharon Hagle Hall, the home of Purdue Bands & Orchestras. Marc, a former percussionist in the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band, brought along a replica of the World’s Largest Drum on the NS-20 spaceflight.
