Juan Wachs, assistant professor of Industrial Engineering, will present on his newest research project. The project is a collaboration with computer science professor Voicu Popescu and IUPUI chief trauma surgeon Gerry Gomez, and brings together robotics, gesture recognition, and augmented reality to create surgical telementoring. Wachs will present an overview of the project and will then offer a short demonstration of the robot.

Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. Presentation begins at noon.
