Dr. Rob Logan: National Library of Medicine
Description
Dr. Logan joined the National Library of Medicine (NLM) within the (U.S.) National Institutes of Health in February 2003 and currently directs research for NLM’s Office of Communications and Public Liaison. Logan writes and narrates NLM’s weekly podcasts, called ‘NLM Director’s Comments.’ Logan oversees a portfolio of consumer health informatics and health literacy research contracts for the National Library of Medicine. He co-directs the Association of Health Care Journalists-National Library of Medicine Fellows Program and frequently speaks to journalism organizations about using NLM and other evidence-based biomedical resources. Logan has received eight NLM Director’s achievement awards, including one in late 2011 for his work on the NLM committee that developed the ‘Native Voices: Native Peoples’ Concept of Health and Illness’ exhibition and web site.
