Toolbox: Collaboration Across Disciplines

Purdue Policy Research Institute
February 27, 2017
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Rawls 1062

Description

The plenary talk will be centered on a category of communication and collaboration challenges for those engaged in complex research and engagement projects, namely, those challenges that concern differences in worldview. After describing how those challenges can obstruct the process of complex research and engagement practice, the talk will develop a dialogue-based approach to addressing these challenges. This approach — the “Toolbox" approach — involves use of philosophically structured dialogue to enable collaborators to see their common project through each other’s eyes.
