Energy and Environmental: Research at Oak Ridge National Labs

Speaker: Mohammad (Moe) Khaleel, Associate Laboratory Director, Energy and Environmental Science, Oak Ridge National Laboratory

As the Associate Laboratory Director for Energy and Environmental Sciences, Dr. Khaleeloversees a rich portfolio to address key issues spanning basic to applied disciplines with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to environmental, engineering, and manufacturing dimensions of energy and climate.

He received his doctorate in structural mechanics from Washington State University and an MBA from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. He is currently an adjunct professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

He is also a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He has been a registered professional engineer in the state of Washington since 1996 and was elected to the Washington State Academy of Sciences in 2011.
