Description

In this spring 2024 series, we present faculty research talks relating to various sustainability topics touching upon aspects of travel, transportation and the energy transition. The first event in this series will focus on aspects of aviation, travel, and tourism. Guest speakers will include: Byron Pipes (Materials Eng.) and Garam Kim (Aviation) - "Upcycling of carbon fiber composites in air transportation”, Mary Johnson (Aviation) and Tracy Yother (Aviation) -"Teaching Sustainability: Aircraft Fuels and Propulsion Technology in Aviation Curricula", and Jonathon Day (HTM) - "Sustainable Aviation: A Tourism Perspective".
