David Abergel, Associate Editor with Nature Physics
Inside Nature Physics
Bio: David Abergel is an Associate Editor at the journal Nature Physics. Before that, he was an Assistant Professor at Nordita, the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics in Stockholm, Sweden. Most of his work was on two-dimensional materials, including graphene but also heterostructures of different materials. He tried to calculate how electrons behave in these materials, and how this might be applied to make new devices or improve existing ones. He also worked on topological physics, and strongly correlated materials, where the interactions between electrons are so strong that they fundamentally change the properties of the materials.
Abstract: Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at Nature Research journals? We'll discuss what our editors look for in a paper, how we make our decisions, and some tips for writing papers and navigating the submission and review process. Hopefully there will also be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
