New Water Year Celebration

Institute for a Sustainable Future
September 30, 2019
5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Mann Hall Atrium

Description

Hydrologists use the concept of a water year extending from October 1st – September 30th when quantifying water resources, because this period removes the influence of snow and minimizes the change in storage (in soil moisture, groundwater and reservoirs) over the time period. Come ring in the beginning of water year 2020, with a look at the state of Indiana water resources in 2019 and a forecast for the coming year. With participation from the IN State Climate Office, IN Water Resources Center and IN Climate Change Impacts Assessment.
