Abstract: In this talk the concept of Cyber Physical Human Systems security in the context of aviation systems will be introduced. The talk will also cover
the proposed security framework involving the detecting and responding to the attacks.
In addition, the talk will describe the results of vulnerability assessment experiments from Aviations Cyber-Physical Systems pespective and the simulation experiments conducted for
several attacks in the context of Internet of Things (IoT).
About: Dr. Sathish A.P. Kumar is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing Sciences at the Coastal Carolina University, Conway, South Carolina, USA. He earned his PhD degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Louisville, Kentucky, USA in 2007. His current research and teaching interests are in cybersecurity, machine learning, big data analytics and distributed systems. He has published more than 40 technical papers in journals and conference proceedings.
The weekly security seminar has been held every semester since spring of 1992. We invite personnel at Purdue and visitors from outside to present on topics of particular interest to them in the areas of computer and network security, computer crime investigation, information warfare, information ethics, public policy for computing and security, the computing "underground," and other related topics.
