Description

The use of opioids outside the bounds of a doctor’s prescription has evolved into a public health crisis in America. This symposium brings together a panel of experts to highlight current research and discuss the challenges of resolving this crisis.

Speakers will include:

  • Mr. Michael Budd, Chair of the Tippecanoe County Opioid Task Force and CEO of United Way of Lafayette
  • Dr. Shannon Monnat, Lerner Chair for Public Health Promotion, Syracuse University
  • Dr. Brea Perry, Professor of Sociology, Indiana University
  • Dr. Michael Vuolo, Associate Professor of Sociology, The Ohio State University
  • Hon. Loretta Rush, Chief Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court

Program: 1-4pm with reception to follow in Robert L. Ringel Gallery 4-5pm.
