How to Write a Competitive NSF CAREER Proposal Workshop

Description

The Office of Research is hosting a workshop for faculty in all disciplines who are interested in writing a proposal for the prestigious NSF CAREER program. CAREER-eligible faculty must be pre-tenured and may not participate in more than three CAREER competitions.

Sally Bond, director of Proposal Strategy and Development, will address the unique requirements of the CAREER program and help faculty to: 

   • Analyze winning CAREER components.
   • Understand best practices for integrating education and research. 
   • Prepare for a program officer conversation. 
   • Identify institutional resources to leverage. 
   • Review templates for proposal planning and writing. 

Before the workshop, participants should read the NSF CAREER solicitation and FAQs available at  https://new.nsf.gov/funding/opportunities/career-faculty-early-career-development-program.

Registration is required.
