Michael J. Corso is Board Certified (by both the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy) in Civil Trial Law and
Business Litligation and serves as chair of the Tort and Insurance Litigation practice area. Mike’s current civil trail practice
area is heavily involved in the defense of non-medical professionals, including lawyers, accountants, architects, engineers
and surveyors, copyright/trademark infringement, product liability and also more general tort defense matters in litigation.
Mike has received much recognition throughout his legal career, including the President’s Award and Joseph P.
Metzger Outstanding Achievement Award from the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, and the Exceptional
Performance Citation from the Defense Research Institute. He is also the 2011 recipient of the Outstanding Aerospace
Engineer Award by Purdue University’s School of Aeronautics & Astronautics. For ten consecutive years (2007-
2016), Mike has been named to Florida Super Lawyers® magazine, which recognizes the state’s top five percent
of attorneys who are selected through an extensive peer review, statewide survey and independent evaluation. He
also has been included in Florida Trend magazine’s Legal Elite® (2009-2012, 2016) and Best Lawyers in America
(2012-2017), as well as was named “Personal Injury Defense Litigation Lawyer of the Year in Fort Myers for 2017.”
