History

The Purdue Honor Pledge was developed by a group of passionate student leaders after a 2015 university study about academic integrity. The results of the survey showed that students and faculty members alike believed that cheating was a serious issue on campus. The effort to stimulate the culture on honesty at Purdue was initiated by the determined group of students after they researched how other schools combat cheating. The Purdue Honor Pledge makes the core values of the code of conduct more accessible and helps to ingrain it within student culture.
