Tobacco cessation Healthy Boiler workshop set for Thursday, day of Great American Smokeout

A Healthy Boiler workshop titled “Tobacco Cessation Overview” will be held virtually from noon to 1 p.m. ET on Thursday (Nov. 18), which is recognized as the Great American Smokeout in 2021.

Presented by Lindsay Bloom, health coach at Purdue Fort Wayne, the workshop will teach strategies to help individuals quit and stay quit as well as resources to help avoid or waive the Purdue health plans’ tobacco-user additional premium.

Those interested should register by Wednesday (Nov. 17) via the Healthy Boiler Portal. The registration link can be found under the “Engage” tab, “Wellness Events” on the portal’s homepage. Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty, staff and dependents covered on a Purdue health plan.
