Healthy Boiler workshop to focus on importance of life insurance, financial wellness

This workshop supports the financial wellness pillar of the Healthy Boiler Program.

Representatives from Securian Financial – Purdue’s administrator of term life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage – will present a Healthy Boiler workshop on life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance and the lifestyle benefits that come with that coverage. The workshop will take place virtually from noon to 1 p.m. ET Sept. 29. The “Essential Insurance for Smart Life Planning” workshop supports the financial wellness pillar of the Healthy Boiler Program. 

The workshop will cover the following:

• Why life insurance matters.
• Coverage options and costs.
• How to enroll.
• What happens to the coverage when employee is no longer an active employee.
• Additional resources available.

Those interested should register by Sept. 28.

Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan.
