Deep breathing techniques to be focus of Healthy Boiler workshop

Stress is everywhere, but there are ways to combat it. For example, Mayo Clinic reports that breath practices are a great way to become more in touch with the mind, body and spirit. With that in mind, Lindsay Bloom, health coach at Purdue Fort Wayne, is leading a Healthy Boiler workshop titled “Breathing Exercises for Relaxation.”

To help attendees learn about the health benefits of deep breathing and techniques for stress reduction and relaxation, this interactive presentation will take place from noon to 1 p.m. ET April 22 via WebEx.

Those interested in should register by April 21 via the Healthy Boiler Portal. The registration link can be found under the “Engage” tab, “Wellness Events” on the portal’s homepage. Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan.
