Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration works to advance behavioral health

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) – part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services – leads public health efforts to advance behavioral health of the nation. Through SAMHSA, individuals have access to a menu that helps to find treatment, programs, public messages, data and statistics on substance abuse and mental health and more. Sharing resources such as SAMHSA supports the behavioral health pillar of the Healthy Boiler Program.

Some of the ways SAMHSA advocates to advance behavioral health of the nation are:

Behavioral Health Equity

SAMHSA works to advance health equity so all populations have access to quality health care.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) resources
