Workshops to focus on saving money on prescription drugs with Rx Savings Solutions

Purdue partnered with Rx Savings Solutions in 2020 to provide members an easy, comprehensive online prescription tool that shows members all their opportunities to save money on their prescription drugs. Representatives from Rx Savings Solutions will be offering two virtual workshops in October.

This free, confidential program -- available for all benefits-eligible faculty and staff as well as dependents covered on a Purdue health plan -- supports the financial wellness pillar of the Healthy Boiler Program and works in conjunction with Purdue’s prescription coverage.

The program provides several ways to save money as Rx Savings Solutions does the following:

• Helps locate better prices for members’ prescription drugs.
• Identifies medications that perform the same as members’ current or prescribed medication, but with a lower out-of-pocket cost.
• Allows members’ to speak with a certified pharmacy tech for personal assistance.

Benefits-eligible employees are encouraged to attend a workshop for a guided demo of the Rx Savings Solutions member portal, along with tips and tricks on how to use Rx Savings Solutions to maximize their pharmacy benefit.

Workshops will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 6 and Oct. 8. Details are as follows:
