Koroshetz, a leader in the National Institutes of Health, will be at Purdue on Wednesday (Oct. 2) to talk about what is being studied and proposed. "Ethics of Eating: Promoting Personal and Global Choices" will be a three-day conference by Purdue’s Ingestive Behavior Research Center addressing the question and theme of “What IF We Could Feed the World Without Harming the Planet?” It will open at 7 p.m. Monday with a free public lecture, "Eating Our Way Through the Anthropocene: The Challenges, Risks and Ethics of Actions,” by Jessica Fanzo, Bloomberg Distinguished Associate Professor of Global Food and Agricultural Policy and Ethics, Johns Hopkins University. “What IF We Could Control the Brain for Better Health?” is a multi-sided question that faces Dr. Walter J. Koroshetz, director of the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and co-director of the NIH Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Initiative.
