Resources are available to assist faculty, staff as benefits enrollment deadline approaches

The deadline to enroll in 2018 benefits is 6 p.m. EST Nov. 10, and Human Resources is encouraging faculty and staff to enroll as early as possible. Enrolling sooner rather than later will allow employees to avoid high traffic on Benefitfocus, the online enrollment system, resulting in faster service.

Numerous resources are available for faculty and staff seeking benefits enrollment assistance.

Face-to-face assistance

Live presentations and walk-in labs are available on all three Purdue campuses; a complete list of presentations and labs can be found on the Resources document.

Below is the schedule for today (Nov. 3).

* West Lafayette

Detailed open enrollment instructions, including an option to review a step-by-step PDF file with screenshots, have been added to provide additional assistance to employees.

As a reminder, the Human Resources customer service location in Stewart Center, Room G66, on the West Lafayette campus will be closed through Nov. 10 to accommodate open enrollment staffing needs at the various walk-in labs and presentations across campus.

Keep in mind that no changes to benefit selections will be accepted after 6 p.m. EST Nov. 10 unless there is a qualifying life event (change in family status). The next opportunity to update employee benefits will be during next year’s open enrollment (October 2018).
