The annual Cancer Culture and Community Colloquium will host a 9 a.m.-5 p.m. celebration of the new program in medical humanities and a 7:30 p.m. keynote event. Details

Purdue's World Film Forum continues with showings Nov. 14 and 21, will focus on a theme of "Migration" and subtitled films set mainly in Italy and Mexico. 7 p.m. program. Free admission and popcorn; also cash bar. Lafayette Theater, 600 Main St., Lafayette. Details

Ron Chernow, author of the book "Alexander Hamilton," which inspired the Broadway hit musical, will speak in a 6 p.m. forum following a 5 p.m. reception; Brian Lamb, founder and executive chairman of C-SPAN, will moderate. The event is hosted by the Purdue Institute for Civic Communication in partnership with the Presidential Lecture Series initiated by President Mitch Daniels. Details

Purdue Theatre will continue its late fall production, "The Secret in the Wings," directed by Amy Lynn Budd. Characters from fairy tales materialize … for a while. Through Nov. 20. $. Details
