Open enrollment for 2026 benefits begins Oct. 28; resources available to assist
Human Resources – Benefits reminds benefits-eligible faculty and staff that it is almost time to choose benefits for themselves (and their families if applicable) for 2026. Individuals have two weeks — from Oct. 28 until 6 p.m. ET Nov. 11 — to make their selections, as well as complete the annually required reelection of their HSA, HRA or FSA contributions. Purdue employees must also certify their tobacco-user status and spousal coverage eligibility each year.
While most benefits will automatically roll forward to 2026, all benefits-eligible employees are strongly encouraged to take the time to review their benefits and actively enroll to ensure they have the coverage in 2026 that best meets their needs. Remember, the benefit choices made during open enrollment will be in effect for all of 2026, unless a qualifying life event occurs.
To assist employees with open enrollment, Human Resources – Benefits has resources available.
