As part of the Healthy Boiler Program mentality — and in support of its physical healthfinancial wellness and behavioral health pillars — Human Resources is offering discounted registration fees (50% off all race distances for faculty, staff and their families) for the 14th annual Carmel Marathon races. The event takes place April 12 and April 13 in Carmel, Indiana. This is the second year Purdue has offered Healthy Boiler discounts for the Carmel Marathon races.

To start the weekend, runners and walkers are invited to the Fitness Expo & Packet Pickup:

  • Date and time: Friday, April 12 — 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET
  • Location: Drury Plaza Hotel (9625 N. Meridian St.)

Note: There is no packet pickup available on race morning; therefore, participants need to ensure their packets are picked up at some point on Friday during the Fitness Expo & Packet Pickup event. Picking up a packet for others is easy; no ID or confirmation email is required.

Race day events

The weekend offers five races, all of which take place on Saturday, April 13 (City Center Drive and Third Avenue).

Individuals can register for whichever race best suits them:

The event is open to runners from beginner to novice, as well as walkers.
