This week’s ‘Thumbs Up’ recipients
Kim Delks
Kim (Finance) has worked closely with Marsha Angstadt, Brittany McGuire and me for the last several years. She has been wonderful to work with and to communicate with. Some years this project is efficient, and some years it is a learning lesson, but regardless of the learning curve, Kim always comes prepared and ahead of time. We want to thank her for all her help on the front end so that we can do our part as quickly as we can. Thank you, Kim! — Crystal Duncan (Finance and Business Operations)
Adam Krumwied
A huge thank-you to Adam (Registrar) for all of the support and assistance he has provided over the past two weeks. Every time I brought a student registration issue to him, he went above and beyond to help find solutions quickly and thoughtfully. I know Adam would probably say he was “just doing his job,” but his responsiveness, patience and willingness to help made a direct impact on both me and my students. I truly appreciate all that you do! — Jessica Joya (Purdue University Online)
Robin Becker
Robin (Finance) has offered invaluable support to the Latino Cultural Center team by helping us develop a stronger understanding of the financial processes needed to carry out our work effectively. She consistently responds to questions promptly, professionally and with kindness, always creating an environment where we feel supported rather than like a burden. During a recent transition period, Robin stepped in to process invoices for our team and continues to provide ongoing guidance and support. Her responsiveness, patience and collaborative spirit have made a meaningful impact on our operations and overall success. — Carina Olaru (Latino Cultural Center)
Anthony Mariga, Steven Murray and Cheri Rawles
Anthony, Steven and Cheri (all IT Enterprise Solutions) deserve a huge thank-you for partnering on the Brightspace integrated early alerts implementation. This work represents a meaningful step forward in how we proactively support students. From design to launch, the team brought strong technical expertise, thoughtful collaboration and a clear focus on the instructor experience. Because of this work, we’re now better positioned to identify students earlier when they may be off track, make it easier for faculty to participate, and strengthen coordination between instructional and advising teams. This is exactly the kind of behind-the-scenes innovation that drives real impact for retention and student success, and I’m grateful for the partnership and care that went into getting this right! — Molly Gilbert (Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning)
Michael Dye and the Beering Hall custodial team
I would like to thank Michael (Building Services) and the cleaning crew in Beering Hall. The floors look amazing this year. Stripping and waxing cannot be an easy task. Thank you. — Nancy McNeely (Education)
Dustin Richardson and Marry Anglin
The public safety team at the Purdue University Police Department would like to thank and recognize Dustin and Marry (both Building Services) for their exceptional service. Their consistent attention to detail, professionalism and strong work ethic reflect a commitment to excellence and stewardship. Especially, I would like to point out the most recent floor care and waxing service they provided last week. They truly went above and beyond expectations as they worked tirelessly and methodically on the project. Our employees greatly appreciate their service and dedication. — Song Kang (Police)
