Fiscal year 2027 fee remission charge rates announced

The fiscal year 2027 fee remission charge rates for West Lafayette and Indianapolis have been finalized and will take effect beginning July 1, 2026, with biweekly pay period 15 and monthly pay period 7. These rates are applicable to any university account supporting personnel eligible for tuition remissions. 

Faculty researchers, account management staff and others responsible for the financial management of accounts should make note of these increases. The new rates will be automatically incorporated into the new standard Account Projection and Salary Calculator tools launched this past spring.  

The updated rates are listed below:

• Graduate fee remission charge rate will increase from $430 to $450 per pay period.
• Staff fee remission charge rate will increase from 0.0012 to 0.0014 per $1 of salary.
• Staff spouse/dependent fee remission charge rate will increase from 0.0023 to 0.0025 per $1 of salary.

Please note that the fiscal year 2027 graduate fee remission charge rates for Purdue Northwest will remain unchanged from fiscal year 2026.
