Nominations open for 2021 PACADA awards recognizing excellence in academic advising

The Purdue Academic Advising Association is seeking nominations for the 2021 Outstanding Academic Advisor and Outstanding New Professional awards.

Currently celebrating its 33rd year as a professional organization, PACADA is dedicated to the support and professional growth of academic advising and advisors at Purdue. The PACADA awards recognize the vital role academic advisors play in the recruitment and retention of students. Nominees will be evaluated based on evidence of effective advising qualities and practices that distinguish the nominee as an outstanding academic advisor. Examples of distinguishing criteria are available on each nomination form. A list of previous award winners is available online.

Nominees must be current PACADA members. The Outstanding New Professional award recognizes those with three or fewer years in the profession; the Outstanding Advisor award is reserved for advisors with more than three years in the profession. Past nominees may submit again; previous recipients are ineligible.

To nominate an outstanding advisor, complete the appropriate form and the Nominator’s Statement:

The two recipients will be presented at the PACADA annual business meeting to take place virtually during Spring 2021.

To submit a nomination for the 2021 PACADA awards, complete and return the nomination form and statement to Jackie Boudreaux by 5 p.m. Dec. 18 at jboudreaux@purdue.edu. Questions may also be sent to Boudreaux by email.
