IDA+A Launches New Dashboard to Track Student Enrollment and Movement

Institutional Data Analytics + Assessment (IDA+A) is excited to introduce the Undergraduate Change of Degree Objective (CODO) Student Enrollment and Movement Dashboard, a new Management Dashboard designed to provide insights into student movements across colleges and departments.
The CODO Dashboard displays data related to the enrollment and movement of CODO students over time. It includes three tabs:
- Undergraduate Student Enrollment: Shows the enrollment of CODO students and other entry statuses across academic periods or academic years.
- Student Movement: Displays the movement of students between colleges, departments, or majors for specific academic periods. Users can view movement within their own college or across different colleges.
- Net CODO Enrollment Changes: Shows the number of students moving into and out of a particular college, department, or major, or the net movement of students into that college, department, or major across academic periods or years.
The dashboard aims to enhance transparency and streamline the process of tracking student movements. It supports colleges and departments in understanding the dynamics of student transitions and identifying areas for improvement.
Cole Wetzel, a Senior Data Analyst and key contributor to the project, shared that early users have provided positive feedback, noting the dashboard’s balance of ease of use and in-depth analysis capabilities. “The dashboard has a lot of flexibility while maintaining ease of use for varying stakeholders, from those who aren’t as dashboard savvy to those who like to get into the weeds,” said Wetzel.
The CODO Dashboard can be accessed via Purdue’s Management Dashboards and is open to all faculty and staff with a current FERPA certification. Additional documentation for the dashboard is available in Data Cookbook.
