Ashley Adair and northeast Indiana ANR Educators hosted the NE IN Organic Field Day at Northeast Purdue Ag Center. The event attracted 32 participants and featured equipment demonstrations, knowledge-building for beginner organic grain growers, an update on disease management in organic grain, and an introduction to Purdue organic field research funded by OREI.
ESE/HLA Graduate student Cristian Salinas and HLA Professor Lori Hoagland attended the 4th Plant Microbiome Symposium in Quito, Ecuador. Salinas received a scholarship to help defray the cost of his attendance at the event, and presented a poster titled ‘The role of seed transmitted endophytes in quinoa tolerance to cadmium stress’.
