Eight HLA-Turf Science undergraduates competed last week in the Sports Field Managers Association (SFMA) Collegiate Quiz Bowl competition at the SFMA annual meeting in Fort Worth, Texas. Congratulations to Rachael Herring (LA major/HORT minor) who was selected into the 2023 Young Leaders Scholarship Program from the Mid America CropLife Association. The YLSP is “designed to expose future agriculturalists to the crop protection industry and potential career opportunities.”

Grace Moore, a senior in Sustainable Food and Farming Systems, and Robin Tribbett, attended The Garden Club of Indiana, Inc. annual scholarship luncheon on Tuesday, April 26 in Columbus, Indiana. The Garden Club of Indiana, Inc. has been supporting students from Purdue and Ball State since 1958.
