Kimberly Porter

I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. I continued with my education and earned my master's degree as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) from Purdue University in 2017. I currently work as an advanced practice nurse at an outpatient clinic affiliated with Purdue.

Research Interests

Currently, I am enrolled part-time as a PhD in Nursing student with an interest in pursuing team-based research related to autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and the mental health of parents and families who care for individuals with ASD. My primary mentor is Associate Professor of Nursing and PhD Program Director Karen Foli.

Why Purdue?

Purdue University achieves research excellence through diversity, knowledge acquisition and engagement. I chose Purdue due to the commitment and dedication of the nursing faculty in helping Purdue University and Purdue's students achieve excellence in academics, national and global sectors.
