What is Accelerate to Industry (A2i)?

Accelerate to Industry (A2I) is a career development program designed to transition highly skilled graduate students and postdoctoral scholars from academia to industry. Participants in this program will work directly with leading industry partners to explore job search strategies, develop transferable skills, network with professionals, and engage in exclusive recruitment opportunities. The goal of this program is to equip Boilermakers with the skills necessary to land coveted industry positions and solve today's toughest industry challenges.

Key Components of the A2i Program

A semester-long program where participants visit leading companies, engage with industry professionals, and gain insights into corporate operations and cultures. This immersive experience helps bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice.

Regular workshops focused on developing key professional skills such as communication, leadership, and project management. These sessions ensure that participants are well-rounded and ready to meet the demands of industry roles. Sessions are also offered on interview techniques, cover letters, and resume writing.
Experienced industry mentors provide personalized guidance and support, helping participants navigate their career paths and make informed decisions about their futures.
Exclusive events where participants can connect with potential employers, learn about job opportunities, and build valuable professional networks.
Collaborative projects with industry partners allow participants to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges, demonstrating their capabilities and making meaningful contributions to their fields.
