Fingerprinting Services

The Purdue University Police Department offers free fingerprinting services to help community members meet requests for background or security checks, military, VISAs and specialized licenses. Community members must provide an official photo ID, Purdue ID and any fingerprinting cards that have been received.

Individuals who wish to take advantage of this service must come to the Purdue University Police Department on the following date/time. First come, first served.


Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.


If you would like to request an appointment for a specific time (i.e. evening hours), you must complete the online appointment form below. Staff will then contact you via email to schedule an appointment.

  • Fingerprinting staff is limited, so walk-in hours may change unexpectedly.
  • Please call (765)496-8352 with any questions.
  • Appointments can be requested by filling out the form below.

Please bring a valid photo ID (Driver License or Passport preferred, PUID accepted)

PUPD does not conduct fingerprinting for gun permits.
