To celebrate the final season of “Stranger Things” on Netflix, Purdue launched a campaign rooted in shared Indiana heritage and the curiosity-driven themes at the heart of the show. Creative blended 1980s-inspired visuals, cinematic storytelling and a capsule merchandise collection timed to the show’s release. The campaign tapped into nostalgia across generations while reinforcing Purdue’s identity as a place where imagination fuels discovery.

Sunnie Partnership
Partnering with a Gen Z media platform to inspire the next generation of women in STEM
Purdue is the official university partner of Sunnie, a new media brand created by Hello Sunshine and Reese Witherspoon to inspire Gen Z girls and young women through storytelling, education and community. Together, we launched national STEM storytelling, live activations and a custom STEM playbook designed to help young women explore new possibilities for their futures. The partnership positioned Purdue as both a cultural collaborator and a launchpad for the next generation of women in science and innovation.

‘In Our STEM Era’ Makerspace

During Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Indianapolis, Purdue created a three-day immersive makerspace designed to spark curiosity in young girls and first-time visitors. The experience connected STEM to music, fashion and beauty through themed “eras,” showing how creativity and science intersect. In partnership with e.l.f. Cosmetics, the activation introduced thousands of families to Purdue’s culture of discovery in a way that felt unexpected and memorable.
