Work to progress on new building for the Daniels School of Business this month
Work will continue to progress on the new building for the Daniels School of Business this month. The new building will connect to the Krannert Building to the east. It will provide the school with three connected facilities, joining the Krannert Building and Jerry S. Rawls Hall.
Fencing has already been installed around the former Wesley Foundation building. Fencing will be extended around the remainder soon. This will include the Krannert Center for Executive Education and Research (KTCR) and impact adjacent buildings—Krannert Building (KRAN), Young Hall (YONG) and Hawkins Hall (HAWK).
As a result of the project fencing, there will be sidewalk closures along the south side of Mitch Daniels Boulevard and the east side of Sheets Street.
Additionally, the lower level of the Graduate House Parking Garage (PGGH) will close on Sept. 30 to begin utility work. The upper level of the garage will remain open through mid-November. At that time, the garage will be closed entirely, and demolition activities will begin. Motorists should obey posted signs regarding these parking modifications. Individuals with “A” parking permits may park in the Wood Street Parking Garage (PGW) and Marsteller parking lot. Those with “A” permits and garage access cards also have the Grant Street Parking Garage (PGG) available.
Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists should use caution in the area and obey all posted signs and detours.
Questions about the project may be directed to Drew Furry, project executive, at dfurry@purdue.edu. Parking questions may be directed to Parking Facilities at 765-494-9497 or parking@purdue.edu between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The lobby closes at 4 p.m.
