South Martin Jischke Drive closure scheduled to begin May 16

South Martin Jischke Drive south of Mitch Daniels Boulevard to Harrison Street will close in two phases for repairs and enhancements, including the addition of bicycle lanes, beginning May 16.

The first phase will include South Martin Jischke Drive between Mitch Daniels Boulevard to just north of the loading dock for the Martin Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering. That phase is expected to be complete by mid-June. The second phase will then occur south of the loading dock and to the roundabout at Harrison Street. That closure is schedule to last from mid-June to early August.

Access to the Martin Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering and Purdue University Police Department will be maintained throughout both phases of the closure.

South Russell Street may be utilized as a detour.

Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians should use caution in the area and obey all posted signs.
