Preparation work for the construction of Hagle Hall is underway

Preparation work for the construction of Hagle Hall, the new Bands and Orchestras building, began this week. Fencing installation started today (Aug. 27).

As a result, the following road, parking and sidewalk impacts near the southeast corner of North Russell Street and Third Street are now in effect:

1. One traffic lane along North Russell Street, just south of Third Street, is closed.
2. On-street parking along North Russell Street, just south of Third Street, is unavailable.
3. East sidewalk along North Russell Street, just south of Third Street, is closed.
4. A portion of the pedestrian-friendly corridor along Third Street between North Russell Street and Waldron Street is unavailable.

Demolition at the site is set to start in September with construction to follow. The project is scheduled to be complete in summer 2022.

Pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists should be cautious in the area and obey all posted signs.
