Place-Based Research
Purdue AAARCC is collaborating with the Honors College students in a Place-Based Research program. Directed by Pamela K. Sari, Ph.D., we are examining "Anti-Asian Bias in the time of COVID-19: Persistent History, Current Reality, and the Pursuit of Systemic Change and Solidarity in the context of Purdue University."
In Summer and Fall 2020, Purdue AAARCC mentored several Honors College students in a Place-based Research program. Serena Chang, Tess Chang, Tiffany Nguyen, and Nimisha Prasad have completed the research and published an article titled, "Impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic to the Asian and Asian American Communities: Persistent History, Collective Resistance, and Intersectional Solidarity" in the newest edition of the Journal of Purdue Undergraduate Research.
