The Asian American and Asian Resource and Cultural Center is located at 915 5th Street on the corner of 5th and Waldron on the Purdue University campus. The AAARCC facility provides a number of resources for the campus community to interact with one another in a variety of social, academic, and/or professional settings.
Our grassy areas are great locations for outdoor activities such as games, picnics, and performances.
A casual space to rest between classes, watch TV, or spark conversations with fellow community members about anything and everything happening in your world. The lounge can be very easily converted into meeting or workshop space. This space also features our Asian/Asian American library, which contains books, DVD’s, and games that can be checked out for free.
Stocked with kitchenware, oven, stove, and refrigerator, our kitchen and dining area are great for hosting cooking demonstrations, preparing for campus food sales, or gathering informally over lunch or coffee.
Private meeting space that can accommodate groups of up to 8-10. Our conference room features Cisco telephones which can be used for telephone conference calls.
ITaP Computer Lab
The AAARCC has an Information Technology at Purdue (ITaP) computer lab where students can gather to work on assignments, study, and print documents.
The AAARCC basement is open for student organizations to store non-perishable supplies related to their events and operations. All storage must be approved by AAARCC staff.
The AAARCC invites use of our wall space for the display of cultural artwork, artifacts, and memorabilia relating to the Asian American and Asian experience.
The entire AAARCC building is also on the PAL 3.0 wireless network. The Lounge, Kitchen, and Conference Room are available for event reservations by Purdue-affiliated individuals and organizations, free of charge. For larger-scale events, we are also able to grant reservations to multiple spaces at a time. In order to make a space reservation request, please contact email@example.com.
