Galina Miller

PISA Supervisor
Galina joined Purdue University and the International Scholar Services' PISA team in November 2023.  She holds a PhD in Computer and Information Technology, and a Master of Science Degree in Education, both from Purdue University. Additionally, she has a Master of Arts Degree in Linguistics.  She worked as an interpreter for Uniworld Travel and Cook companies. Over the course of her career, she has held a diverse range of roles both in the US and internationally. Galina is fluent in English, Russian and French, and is conversational in Italian. In her free time, Galina enjoys being active and spending time outdoors.  Her hobbies include gardening, reading, traveling, and practicing yoga.

Claudia Castillo

PISA Specialist

Claudia joined PISA in May 2024. She has been living in the Lafayette area since 2006, when she came to Purdue for her graduate studies. Claudia is fully bilingual in Spanish and English; she holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Linguistics and enjoys learning about languages and cultures. Her hobbies include anime, indoor gardening, putting together jigsaw puzzles or simply relaxing indoors and watching cat videos.

Mabel Chan

PISA Specialist

Mabel Chan is originally from Hong Kong and moved to the United States in 2001. She speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, Chaozhou Dialect and English. Mabel has three years of experience at Purdue Univeristy, and prior to this, she spent more than 9 years engaged in customer service in the  government and banking industries. She has a varied academic background that includes a bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature with a minor in Art Studio, and an Associate of Arts degree in Social Science and Humanities.

When not at the office, Mabel enjoys traveling, singing karaoke, watching drama movies & TV shows at home, chatting on the phone with friends and family, and taking long walks.

PISA Specialist

Diane joined Purdue University as PISA Specialist in March 2024. Originally from Ft. Wayne, IN, Diane has spent the majority of her career in Noblesville, IN.    She has a varied academic background that includes a Master of Science degree in Adult Education, Training & Development from Indiana University - Purdue University of Indianapolis. She also obtained her Paralegal degree from Ball State University. Diane has spent the last seven years in the medical field in patient support and administration. She has approached customer needs at the forefront of every situation.   

In her free time, Diane loves to just hang out and spend time with her adult children. She also likes to spend time with friends, eat out at new restaurants and take a long walks with her chocolate lab, Hershey.

Sojung Wang

PISA Specialist
Sojung joined PISA in September 2024. She is originally from South Korea and holds a bachelor's degree with a major in Public Administration and a minor in English Literature. She has three years of work experience in the logistics industry as a network & customer care agent. Prior to this, she worked for two years in the insurance industry and trading agency as an administrative assistant. Sojung has lived in West Lafayette since 2012, which she now considers her second hometown. She loves to travel, experience diverse cultures, and enjoys spending her time reading, as well as hanging out with friends and family.

Olivia Williamson

PISA Specialist

Olivia began her Purdue career as a PISA Specialist in January 2023. A graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington with a BA in Anthropology and a Liberal Arts and Management certificate, Liv studied social/cultural anthropology abroad in South Africa, and has spent her subsequent eight-year customer service career working in senior care, childcare, and food service industries. Having completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2022, she especially enjoys teaching gentle yoga to seniors and those with mobility constraints.

Liv strives to find time to read every day (audio books count!) and can often be found chatting on the phone with long distance friends and family — usually joined by her cat, Lil’ Chicken Nugget.
